Sunday Walk information. All welcome. See details below.
Hello friends.
Fall has arrived and with it cooler weather, nice for a brisk walk or relaxation in natural surroundings. The walk on Sunday will take place in Black Oak Heritage Park off of Ojibway Parkway. From Windsor turn right onto Broadway Street just before Dainty Foods. Look for the park on the left. We will meet at 12:30 in the parking lot. We will be hearing more about this forested area as it is being considered for a new National Urban Park that could possibly encompass almost 1000 acres of green space in west Windsor. Our custom is to walk for an hour or less at our own paces and then gather for friendly conversation over coffee/tea and goodies in our comfortable folding lawn chairs.
Rides can be provided for anyone who asks. Just phone Art, the phone number is below. For the safety and comfort level of everyone, we need everyone to be double vaccinated against COVID.
This group is planning a county road trip on Saturday, October 16. In private cars our first stop would be Amherstburg. We would then wend our way along the shore of Lake Erie with stops at Holiday Beach, Cedar Beach, fruit stands and other points of interest along the way as time and interest suggest. Anyone interested in this adventure should let it be known to Art or Gordon. There are seats available in the cars or you might want to drive your own vehicle. The more the merrier. As we may be in close contact with each other at times double vaccinations are expected.
