Alongside Hope (formerly PWRDF) – Wild Ride
The Deanery of Essex Team will be holding a Wild Ride/Walk event on Saturday, September 27, 10:00am-2:00pm at Malden Park (4200 Malden Rd, Windsor, ON N9C 3R1). There will be a BBQ and fellowship after the walk. Participants need to bring a chair, hat and sunscreen–everything else will be provided. Cyclists are also invited to participate in this event. If you plan to bike please contact Art Roth. Rain date is the following Saturday Oct. 4, same time and place.
This year, the Alongside Hope (formerly PWRDF) Wild Ride is raising funds for a new project to install solar suitcases in Mozambique and Madagascar. Find out more about solar suitcases here and share this insert with your parish community.
Cyclists will be raising funds to buy a special breed of goat, a Galla or Somali goat, that is a very hardy animal that can survive drought conditions that are worsening with climate change in Kenya. Goats are raised to provide milk and meat.
