Thank You Note to All Saints Anglican Church Congregation Community
Dear friends in Christ.
As I stand before you today, I do so with a heart full of gratitude. I want to take this moment to thank each and every one of you here at All Saints Anglican, my friends and family for the incredible love, support, and encouragement you’ve given me on the journey that has led to my ordination as a deacon this past week June 11th, on the Feast of ‘Saint Barnabas The Apostle’, at, St James Westminster Church in London, Ontario. And thank you to the many of you who made the trip to London on Wednesday June 11th, to witness this event with me.
This milestone is not mine alone—it belongs to this entire church family, my friends and family. From your prayers and conversations, to the countless ways you’ve mentored, guided, and walked alongside me, you have helped form me, not only in faith but in the call to serve.
You have been the hands and feet of Christ to me. You’ve taught me what it means to be part of a worshipping, praying, and serving community. You’ve shaped me through your faithfulness, your example, and your trust in God’s work in and through me.
So today, I simply want to say thank you!!! Thank you for raising me up, for believing in me, and for sending me out in the name of Jesus. Please continue to pray for me as I will for you as I begin this new season of ministry, just as I will continue to pray for this beautiful and faithful church community, my friends and my family.
With all my love in Christ,
Reverend Gerard Martin Phillips
